Prepared for the unexpected

Ready before you need to be.

An illness, a surgery or an accident can stop your income long before it stops your bills. Jodi walks through the math with you first. Mostly it works out in your favor, and if it does not, you will know exactly what would help.

Ways to close a gap

Coverage that pays you, not just the hospital.

Critical illness

Pays a lump sum if you are diagnosed with a covered condition, such as a heart attack, stroke or cancer, depending on the policy. You decide how to use it: medical bills, the mortgage, or simply time off to heal.

Hospital indemnity

Pays a set amount when you are admitted to the hospital, and sometimes for each day you stay. It helps with the deductibles and the costs your health plan leaves behind.

Accident coverage

Pays set benefits for covered injuries like fractures, emergency visits and follow-up care. Popular with active families and anyone whose work is physical.

Disability income

Replaces part of your paycheck if illness or injury keeps you from working. For business owners it can be the difference between recovering and rushing back too soon.

Benefits, covered conditions and limits vary by policy and carrier.

Questions

Fair questions, plain answers.

I already have health insurance. Why would I need more?

Health insurance pays doctors and hospitals. It does not pay your mortgage, your groceries or your business expenses while you recover, and it still leaves deductibles and out-of-pocket costs. The coverage on this page is designed to fill those gaps with cash paid to you.

How do I know whether I need any of this?

Start with the calculator above. If your savings cover a long recovery, you may not need much. If there is a gap, Jodi can show you what it would cost to close it, and you can decide from there.

Can I get this through my business?

Often, yes. Some owners set up coverage for themselves and their employees through the business. Jodi can walk you through individual and business options side by side.

What does it cost?

It depends on your age, health, the coverage amount and the carrier. Jodi will show you real numbers for your situation before you commit to anything.
